Usually I carefully choose the technique according to technical indicators. I have been looking at models from different manufacturers for a long time, comparing their design features and even reading operating instructions that are now available on the Web. But with this heater, things turned out a little differently. It had to be bought hastily, on the advice of the first counter sales consultant. This happened because of a small communal disaster that left our house without heating in the second half of October. The daily temperature on the street has fluctuated from 0 to +6 for several days in a row, and you can imagine how it was in the apartment. Maybe my wife and I would have survived this period without a heater, but for our seven-month-old baby, such a cold is simply dangerous. This is a convector heater, which means it starts heating immediately after switching on. With a moderate one and a half kilowatt power, a lot of heat is obtained and it quickly disperses around the room. Apparently, this is explained by a heater of a new design - here a heating element with a large effective dissipation area is used, which in cross section resembles the letter X. Its wide ribs are made of cast aluminium, and this metal, as you know, conducts heat very well. It has a convenient electronic control, the panel of which is located on the right side of the upper end. With its power, you can adjust the electric power of the heating element and, if necessary, reduce it by half, as well as set up an electronic thermostat that accurately maintains the desired temperature in the room. In addition, you can set a timer to turn off the heater. Protected from water. Has a long three-year warranty. I immediately warn potential buyers about the trap that I could fall into if I didn’t take it in a retail store, but ordered it online - in the standard package there is only a wall mount and no wheels at all. I put this convector in the corner (the coldest) room. I chose a not too expensive, but powerful enough model (1.5 kW), designed to heat an area of 15 squares, and my room is 14 squares. The dimensions of the convector are compact, so it did not affect the interior in any way. The design is as simple as possible, so it does not attract too much attention. As for the heating work itself, the results are quite normal. The temperature is kept at a comfortable level due to the adequate operation of the thermostat. The device is absolutely silent. Many complain that electric heaters dry the air a lot, but in this case this is not observed. Feels like the air remains the same as before heating. Haven't found any major flaws yet. It seems to me that in this convector a fan would be very useful to disperse warm air over the entire area. In this case, heating “from scratch” would be faster.
