I was choosing a convector for my apartment and initially wanted to save money. But the rule "cheap fish – bad broth" hasn't been canceled, and the review of the very budget models showed a rather bleak picture. Models with an open coil for home use can only be bought out of sheer desperation. I used one like that thirty years ago in a dormitory and still remember the characteristic smell of burnt dust. I chose this model after a long struggle with my "frugality", it is significantly more expensive, but the brand is well-known and doesn't seem to produce nonsense. It uses a fully enclosed heating element with large metal fins. This allows it to quickly heat a large amount of air and not overheat. Warms up the room quickly. This model has a mechanical control unit. This solution is less convenient and functional than digital electronic components, but much more reliable. The full thousand-watt power of the convector is not always needed and, if desired, it can be halved by pressing the switch. The thermostat is working properly, it's a pity there are no designations corresponding to the temperature. It also has overheating protection. Looks beautiful, especially unusual white legs. And for the money I spent, I got a three-year warranty. So in the near future you can sleep peacefully. Not very convenient on/off button. Instead, at first he often switched power stages. Not a problem, I got used to it in a couple of weeks. |
A few days ago I began to hear a crackling sound from the heater. Dismantled. I saw burnt insulation on the terminals. It turns out that they forgot to press them at the factory, and they just hung out all the time until they moved out of their seats.
