A good option for heating a separate area of a large room

The university has had heating problems for a long time. The cold is incredible, but the educational process cannot be stopped and laboratory work must also be carried out according to schedule. In general, in order to prevent students from freezing in the icy laboratory hall, three such heaters were purchased. The area of the entire hall is huge, but these three devices, those places where students and teachers sit for a long time, warm up well.
The use of such infrared heaters is the only way to create at least some comfort in a separate area in a large laboratory hall. These models shine and heat extremely powerfully. So at first they wanted to place them on rods against the wall, along a row of tables where students sit, but then they soberly decided that this was simply unsafe. The stands are stable, but young student bodies weren’t able to handle that much, so in the end they settled on a wall-mounted option. The distance was a little greater, but the radiation power was enough. Now, under these heaters, students at least feel like human beings. They have been working flawlessly for two months now, and there is nothing particularly broken there. The only potentially weak link is the emitter tube itself, but with this mode of operation it should be enough for 4-5 years. There is overheat protection and a one-year warranty.
There is no tip-over protection, you can’t work near water, and in general it’s a pretty hot and dangerous thing near it. Sitting under such heaters all day is also not comfortable, it begins to tighten the skin.
Heats powerfully and is inexpensive

We took these to a small car service center. The question of heating the spacious double box in winter remained open almost until the first snow in December. But then, as they say, it got hot - frosts began at night and we decided to buy three of these inexpensive infrared heaters. Two were mounted on the walls, and the third was decided to be left in a mobile version, so that it could be directed to heat the place where the work was being carried out. It turned out great. In my opinion, this is the most effective investment of such a modest amount. High power and powerful thermal radiation are capable of heating large areas. The total area of the box in which two of these heaters operate is approximately 46 square meters and they cope with this task perfectly. I understand that there is no real cold yet, winter is just warming up. But even now these heaters do not operate at full capacity)) I really liked the very principle of operation of such heating equipment, when most of the electricity is converted not into air heat, but into thermal infrared radiation, heating the entire environment at once. This allows you not to wait for the room to warm up, but to start work earlier. The lamps seem to have a good service life and have a one-year warranty. So so far the use has been mostly positive.
In the shadow of the equipment or in a pit where the rays of the heaters do not reach, it is so damn cold at the beginning of the day)) The body is made of thin metal and crackles and clicks when heated or cooled. But these are small things and they essentially do not affect the work. There is a thermostat, but when mounted on a wall at a height it is impossible to use it, so I had to come up with an alternative electric power regulator.

Inexpensive model with universal application

Inexpensive and reliable climate products manufactured by Network Selects Ltd. under the trademarks UFO and Ergo is well known to the east european consumer and is in constant demand. Ergo HI-1620 infrared heater is a worthy device for primary or additional heating of cold areas in an apartment, private house, office, workshop, garage and work site. Due to the fact that the device transfers heat not to the air, but to nearby objects, the heater does an excellent job of heating not only indoors, but also on semi-open terraces, where the operation of other types of devices (convectors, oil radiators, fan heaters) will not be so effective. The model is assembled in a silver metal case with black end inserts and can be used as a wall or floor heater. Depending on the chosen mode of operation, you can use the included wall mounting kit or a portable leg stand with telescopic tube. The adjustable light aluminium alloy stand allows the infrared emitter to be mounted at a height of up to 2 m and makes moving the 5 kg heater a simple task.

Connect without extension

The device is equipped with a quartz-type heating element with a reflector and a rotary mechanical thermostat, which allows you to set a comfortable heating temperature. The maximum power of a quartz lamp of 2 kW is enough to service a room up to 20 m2. The heater has a lifespan of approximately 4,000 hours, after which the lamp can be replaced. A large-mesh wire grating covering the quartz lamp from the front side prevents burns in case of accidental contact with the hot surface of the heater. The built-in protection against overheating, protection against ingress of foreign objects (class IP10) and electrical protection class I are responsible for the safe operation of the device. When connecting the heater to the mains with a 2 m power cable, do not use an extension cord. The manufacturer sets a 12-month warranty period for the device.
