    good model, liked it

After I drowned my beloved Canon G12 compact, the question arose of a replacement. The priority was not only the quality of the photos, but also the size / weight of the device itself. What's the use of a big and cool DSLR if you just don't take it with you, and if you do, then you'll spend a lot of time just uncovering it. So the DSLRs go through the woods. But this Fuji model came up in all respects.
The camera has three main advantages. Firstly, it is really compact and the weight is small, only 350 grams. The case, all buttons and control wheels are made of metal, the camera lies pleasantly in the hand and does not slip. Behind is a large and bright display with a touchscreen. In addition, the display is swivel, so turning it 180 degrees, you can safely take a selfie)) The second main advantage of the camera is an APS-C format matrix with a crop factor of 1.5. Thanks to it, you can shoot even at ISO 6400 and not be afraid of noise. The built-in noise suppressor works perfectly, and if you want more, you can take the RAW file of the frame and play with it to the point of insanity)) Many people can consider the third advantage as a disadvantage, but I think that the regular fixed lens is very good. It is wide-angle, but it has an excellent aperture ratio and, at an open aperture, gives an impeccable picture across the entire frame area. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is capacious and lasts for a long time. If you shoot without a flash, then more than 400 frames come out. There is WiFi and, after installing a proprietary application, you can control the camera from your smartphone.
There is no optical stabilizer at all, which is unusual for modern cameras. With such a fast lens and a sensitive matrix for photographing, this is not critical, but it’s difficult to shoot video with your hands, the picture comes out twitchy. So you will need a tripod or at least a monopod to shoot a normal video.

The premium compact from Fujifilm is actually a stripped-down version of the top-of-the-line Fujifilm X100T fixed-lens camera. The younger model lost its viewfinder in its design (it can be installed in a hot shoe), slightly decreased in size and acquired a touch-sensitive swivel display.

    Atypical

A large APS-C sensor is installed at the heart of the camera, and a fast aperture (f / 2.8) with a focal length of 28 mm(35 mm equivalent) is used as a lens. Both of these components are completely uncharacteristic of compact cameras and rather make the camera related to more advanced DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.

    Hybrid autofocus

Inside the body of the model hides a hybrid autofocus system, which includes 77 phase and 44 contrast sensors. It focuses quickly and accurately on sharpness, but in the process it makes noise, which interferes with video shooting. However, video recording has never been a strong point of Fuji cameras, and it also does not help the lack of an optical image stabilizer.

    High quality

It is almost impossible to find fault with the image quality even when shooting at high ISO values (up to 12800 units). The picture can safely be called razor-sharp, highly detailed and contrasting. Nevertheless, this matrix is used in all the top cameras of the Japanese manufacturer, except for the most advanced Fujifilm X-Pro 2.

    Ergonomics

With the ergonomics of the compact, not everything is so rosy — some controls (buttons for changing ISO and starting video recording) are in uncomfortable places, and the touch screen functionality does not allow you to change shooting parameters. But by tapping on the display, you can set the focus point and scroll through the footage.

    Orientation

The model is clearly not aimed at the masses. It will appeal more to adherents of the street photography genre and fans of retro design. With small dimensions and a battery life of 300-350 frames, the camera will be the best solution for every day, for which you will have to sacrifice the possibility of optical zooming or changing optics.
