In 2013, I purchased a compact toilet Jacob Delafon model Presquile, attracted by its unconventional design. About 8-9 months later, I discovered a crack on one side of the toilet seat from underneath. I contacted the store, and they reassured me, saying this crack wasn't serious. They mentioned that with this model, small cracks might appear on the seats, but it would last for many years. Six months later, the seat cracked on that side. After examining the seat's design, mounting, and supports, I realized there is a design flaw - the middle supports of the seat hang 5 mm above their intended resting position, meaning the seat only rests on the front and rear supports, functioning like a bending beam. The seat's plastic is rigid and non-elastic and cannot sustain such significant and repeated deformations for long, resulting in breakage. It turned out to be interesting in shape and flimsy in solution. The Jacob Delafon plumbing service center refused to replace the toilet seat under warranty, citing the decision of the Moscow branch. In all the stores selling this plumbing, I was told that this issue is common with this model. The current cost of this seat is 9,000 rubles, while the toilet itself is over 30,000. It's very disappointing that such an expensive brand in Russia turned out to be, to put it mildly, of such poor quality. For what it's worth, I've used Roca and other reliable toilets, including domestic ones, which are roughly 3-4 times cheaper, for many years without any issues. My conclusion - do not buy Jacob Delafon. type Europe, brand interesting in form and frivolous in solution use Jacob Delafon Presquile 19077-00 month or more i recommend it don't buy |
