Well-protected, stylish, long-lasting and high-quality sounding, portable mid-power wireless speaker system with a built-in microphone for hands-free calling, a card reader and an NFC chip for easy synchronization with source gadgets. It is positioned as a product of the middle price category in 2021, aimed at demanding users. Thanks to the highest protection class IP67, the column can be used without any restrictions in open areas and near water bodies (withstands full immersion in water).
Whether it's for a garden party, a picnic in the countryside or a beach getaway, the LAMAX Storm 1 mobile speaker can create an atmosphere of celebration and fun in any of these situations. It is also worth noting the loud and high-quality sound, for the formation of which two powerful full-range speakers are responsible. The digital amplifier works in conjunction with two active speakers and a pair of passive resonators to boost the bass.
High-quality components and a successful design allow the speaker to adequately reproduce compositions of all musical genres and trends. The rated power of 40 W is sufficient for the acoustic design of a room up to 50 m² or an open area. Important advantages include moderate overall dimensions (18x7.5x7.5 cm) and light weight of 600 g. BeatShare technology makes it possible to create a stereo pair of two compatible LAMAX speakers.

When creating Storm 1, the European company LAMAX took into account almost all the requirements that a modern Bluetooth speaker for outdoor activities must meet. For its 75 euros, the model is almost devoid of flaws.
In rain and in storm
Storm 1 fully justifies its name - rubberized, protected according to the IP67 standard, the body easily withstands the vagaries of nature: contact with dust, sand, rain, and even shallow immersion in water for 30 minutes.
The compact ergonomic speaker is stable on the surface, fits comfortably in the hand and looks good, there are no questions about the design, except that more than one color could be offered.
Light weight, 800 g, and a carabiner on the right side make it easy to transport. In general, everything is simple, reliable, and tasteful, and most importantly, it does not look like boring JBL-style kegs.
Connect as you wish
LAMAX Storm 1 pairs via Bluetooth 5.0 with a range of up to 20 m. Note, honest 20 m. If you do not need to keep your smartphone with you, you can connect via NFC or a mini-Jack cable (which is included in the kit, by the way). And in order not to bother with connections at all, insert a microSD card reader into the slot and listen to your music archives using the built-in player.
Turn up
Storm 1 not only knows how to resist the elements, but also to create it. 40-watt speakers with BeatBass technology will rock you on waves from 80 to 18,000 Hz. And the stereo pair mode under the control of proprietary BeatShare technology will create a sound storm with a vengeance.
Another cool bonus is three preset sound modes, which is almost never found in low-cost speakers. Hall mode is ideal for filling the entire space, super bass boosts low frequencies, and balanced mode allows music to sound without distortion.
All day and more
The speaker has a 6600 mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantees 15 hours of battery life, however, at a volume level of 50%. If you want to “turn on” Storm to the fullest, immediately divide this time by 2. So, in fact, we have real 7-8 hours of work, and the number 15 in the characteristics is nothing more than a marketing ploy. But it will take about 3 hours to fully charge the speaker, which is a lot by today's standards.
By the way, with such a capacious battery, the Storm 1 would obviously need a power bank function, but, unfortunately, it is not here. As a pleasant trifle, we note the presence of a Type C charging connector. In poor lighting, you don’t have to guess which side to insert the cable.
Conclusion
LAMAX Storm 1 is a strong mid-ranger with top ambitions, the minor flaws of which are more than offset by a lot of obvious pluses. For the money you can't get better.
