Lexar Play 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD — a gaming solid-state drive designed specifically for PlayStation 5. It utilizes the PCI-Express 4.0 bus and the M.2-2280 form-factor, although the Sony console can accommodate an SSD up to 110 mm in length. The width and thickness dimensions are also optimized for the PS5 expansion slot. The built-in console memory is limited to 825 GB of flash memory.
Triple Volume
The aluminum heatsink covers the drive on both sides through thermal pads. At the core is the energy-efficient Maxio Falcon Lite controller, similar to the model without a heatsink Lexar NQ790. Versions ranging from 2 to 8 TB are available, and even the minimum capacity is three times the actual storage capacity of the standard PS5 after deducting the operating system (around 700 GB). It is compatible with both the regular PS5 and the PS5 Pro version.
