Backup power is a necessary thing, especially when it comes to a store, especially if the store is not located in a big city where line reservation is possible, but in a small town with about 30 thousand inhabitants. In reality, the load on it is much less: two cash registers and two scales (45 watts each pair), a tiny computer in a mini-case and three webcams connected to it (about 80 watts) and eight 10-watt back-up LED lighting lamps (60 watt). In total, it turns out something about two hundred watts, which the device draws out without really straining. To work with it, I bought a large 100 Ah battery and with it an uninterruptible power supply allows you to continue trading for about three hours. This year the scheme has already come in handy twice. Once everything worked from the battery for only half an hour, but in the second there were almost two lights. In addition to backup power, it also perfectly stabilizes the voltage supplied to it and can keep the output at the norm, despite the fact that the input voltage dances from 170 to 250 volts. It loudly clicks the stabilization steps and the fan is excessively loud and annoying. Well, at least in normal idle mode, when the battery is not involved in any way, the fan is not audible. |
I moved from the city to the suburbs two years ago. And one of the first problems that I encountered was the terrible quality of the power supply. You can see the numbers 220 at the input of the voltmeter of the house stabilizer only by chance. Most often, a situation occurs when the voltage hangs around 160-170 volts, but in the morning it can also be increased to 250-260V. I installed a powerful stabilizer at home, but it did not solve the second problem, a complete blackout, which happens much more often than I would wanted. A gasoline generator was bought, but this decision is controversial. It makes wild noise, creates a stink for the whole yard, and the quality of the current received from it comes out mediocre, the sinusoid is wrong, which is bad for electronics, including a boiler and a computer. In general, for thin electronics, I decided to make a battery backup. And for this, such an uninterruptible stabilizer fits perfectly. The fact that it is not equipped with a battery, as is practiced by purely computer sources, I consider it a big plus. I don’t think that many people take a maximum capacity battery with it. And I spent money thoroughly and took a hefty fool with a capacity of 200 ampere-hours. 60 kilograms of weight is not a joke to you. This is a large multi-gel battery that has low self-discharge and is specially designed for cycling. When loaded with a TV, computer + monitor, backup LED lighting, the total power is approximately 300-400 watts. The uninterruptible power supply is capable of pulling such a load for about 5-6 hours, that is, the whole evening. Moreover, if you unload it from everything except lighting, then it can pull the freezer. Very loud alarm. An unpleasant smell of some smelly organic matter in the first month of operation. |
