In the MiO line of DVRs, the MiVue J60 is unique in its kind. This is the "first chick" of the Taiwanese auto electronics brand, which is not equipped with a display. All manipulations with the device are performed using a smartphone via a wireless Wi-Fi network.
Full smartphone integration
The MiVue Pro mobile application provides access to advanced video shooting settings, allows you to view and download footage in Full HD resolution, enable and disable ADAC auxiliary passive safety systems. “Over the air” firmware and database updates are downloaded to the DVR, indicating stationary police cameras and radars. The device notifies the driver in advance of the monitoring systems for compliance with traffic rules in a loud female voice. Also, according to GPS data in the programme, you can see the track of the last trips by car.
Concealed installation
The registrar is attached to the inner surface of the windscreen of the car using a pad with an adhesive base. Features of fasteners do not allow you to rotate the device in a horizontal plane. But the device can be hidden behind a saloon rear-view mirror — due to the lack of a display, the narrow body of the dashcam will be almost invisible from the street. The flip side of the screenless design is the need to perform almost all actions with the model exclusively through a smartphone.
Voice alerts
MiO MiVue J60 pronounces in a female voice not only notifications about cameras and radars. When the ADAS passive safety systems are activated, the DVR warns of lane violations, a close distance to the rear of the vehicle in front, reminds you to turn on the headlights and take a break after a long time behind the wheel. In the metropolis, these alerts usually only clog the air, but on country roads they can come to the rescue of a distracted driver.
