How to Choose a Gaming MonitorWe understand matrix types, suitable resolution, FreeSync and other important aspects when choosing a gaming monitor

Monitor matrices types: TN+film, IPS, VA, OLED, QLED and QD-OLEDCurrent types of monitor matrices, their pros and cons, as well as recommendations for selection
I encountered a defect :( the screen film was peeling off around the perimeter (first time experiencing this) I recommend buying with self-pickup and checking in stores, I returned it the next day hoping for a quick replacement, but for some reason, they sent it for an examination, and now I'm without a monitor for 20 days, I do not recommend buying at M.Video, you can't get through to them, and they don't call back. It was purchased for the Acer Aspire 3 A317-51G-75BH laptop, I couldn't get 75Hz from it :( even though the laptop has a separate graphics card, I tried all the settings, attempted to apply internet advice, and nothing. I also chose this monitor because there is software from MSI to manage it, I thought it was great not to press buttons, but this software doesn't work on the laptop, it changes the colors of the laptop screen but not the monitor. Additionally, the default Eco mode is enabled, which blocks the choice of various preset modes (Cinema, games, eye protection) and some other mode! At first, I thought it was also a defect :( but I figured it out from the only FAQ question on the MSI website (I honestly read the manual twice but didn't see it there (maybe I missed it). It swivels :). It lowers almost to the table, which is a plus for people of shorter stature or children so that their eyes are level with the middle of the screen. There is a USB Type-C port, which might be useful for those with modern laptops. Reading mode for eye protection. Didn't notice any severe light leaks. There are no regular USB ports (although I didn't need them, I know there are monitors that act as hubs for connecting keyboards and mice, etc., it might be useful in the future), the sound is just terrible. The input panel looks like it's from cheap monitors, with a metal panel with inputs. The control is via buttons, not a joystick, and after several monitors with joysticks, this seems archaic and very inconvenient, really inconvenient. There is a gamer feature, crosshair, but they seemed too thick to me compared to the gaming monitor from GIGABYTE. ![]() |
I don't know how to edit, I received a second monitor through exchange and it has screen delamination again! Although not as severe, so I decided to keep it. I don't recommend dealing with MVideo, they dragged it out for 21 days, sent it to a service center to prove it's a manufacturing defect! Described in another review Defective monitors! |
