The gaming monitor released in 2023 by MSI is an advanced-level solution that can be recommended to gaming enthusiasts of various levels. It features a pseudo 10-bit IPS panel with a QuadHD resolution (2560x1440 pixels with a pixel size of 0.23 mm). The MSI Optix G274QPX monitor supports HDR content, with claimed compliance to the DisplayHDR 400 standard, meaning peak brightness can increase to at least 400 nits. Gamers will also appreciate official support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology and the presence of a night vision mode (brightening dark game scenes).
The model's advantages include display safety for vision (not only flicker-free backlighting but also a Less Blue Light function), and an ergonomic stand that allows you to adjust the screen to the user's needs (height, swivel, portrait mode). A great monitor for its price. I use it for work, gaming, and content viewing. One port is connected to a Mac via HDMI, another to a PC via DP, and a third to an Xbox Series S via HDMI. I switch between them with a stick on the back, which is very easy and convenient. I have no issues with clarity and colors. No, it's not an Apple Studio Display, but if you want to work and play games, it's a really good option. As for the downsides, there are slight light bleeds on black right out of the box, but they're not noticeable in everyday use. Also, it sometimes doesn't immediately respond to switching to a different device.
