The Bugatti Base Light ¾ wired leak protection system from the Neptun brand does a good job of basic tasks for a very affordable price — about $ 250. The name of the popular Italian manufacturer Bugatti is used in the name not by chance, the company's electric drive is installed on the crane.
Design
The control unit and sensors are made in white, so they organically fit into any interior. The crane drive unit is enclosed in a blue case, but since communications are usually “sewn up”, the colour is not critical.
Technical capabilities
The system is connected to a 220V network, but in case of interruptions it has backup power, so the sensors will work even if the electricity goes out. Up to 20 sensors can be connected to the system, but only 2 are supplied in the kit, for the most critical places in an average apartment — a bathroom and a kitchen. If the equipment is purchased for a large home or office, sensors can be purchased in addition.
Block and taps
The control unit is able to shut off the water on 6 pipes, but we only have a faucet in the kit. The system will notify you of problems in the operation of the water supply with a sound signal. The response time of the sensor to a leak is only 2 seconds, but the drive that shuts off the tap will work only after 21 seconds, so you should carefully consider the location of the sensors and their number. The tap can also be closed manually; there is a lever on the electric drive unit for this.
The system has protection of taps from "souring", which automatically performs 1 time per month. The cycle of preventive opening/closing prevents stagnation of the crane mechanism.
