After a long analysis of several types of Panasonic razors, I settled on this one. The set from Panasonic RF31, which consists of a blade and a foil, is suitable for Panasonic ES-LF71/LF51/ES-RF41 electric shavers, which are much more expensive than the above electric razor. Why pay more if the result is the same..... The razor is excellent. I was choosing between the Braun 390CC-4 and the Panasonic ES-RF31. I settled on this razor. A courier delivered it yesterday. I shaved "dry" yesterday, and this morning with foam - both times the result was excellent. Previously, I shaved for about 10 years with a Braun 5494 electric razor and occasionally with a manual razor. Now, without exaggeration, I spent 4 minutes on shaving this morning (I timed it myself). My face was shaved cleanly, with no stubble left. I shaved my neck without any problems too, and didn't even get cut. Although the razor is made in China, I did not find any shortcomings, although I am very picky about all things, especially those that are assembled or directly made in China. ![]() |
I got myself the RF 31 at a reduced price because someone damaged the packaging. So far, I'm very satisfied, having used it for almost a month. Here are my initial impressions. Charging: I charged it for the second time exactly 61 minutes, and the indicators turned off. It holds the charge as promised, lasting for 14 uses. Initially, each shave took about ten minutes (now it's three minutes plus two for rinsing), maybe more. On the last blinking indicator, it managed two and a half shaves. It didn't have enough charge for a final shave, but the speed doesn't drop; the motor smoothly stops after 10 seconds—a nod to the Japanese for this. Hair doesn't get caught in the shaver, and there's no need to pull anything out. Feeling: It's very pleasant to hold in hand. It's a quality item, nicely built, everything is even, with no gaps. Now the main part, the shaving. The first few times I got used to it, tried it out, adapted; this is my first electric shaver. In my experience, my skin got accustomed around the fifth use. Irritation (redness) might only appear on the neck, and that's with wet shaving. The quality isn't as razor-like, of course, but I'm very satisfied with the result. From my experience, cleanliness isn't as good as with a razor (Fusion Power), but the smoothness is comparable. The stubble became less prickly, although it grows back faster, but even after three days, it's less scratchy. After a week, the stubble shadow practically vanished, and it's not because of graying. The number of ingrown hairs has decreased. I tried shaving every day and every three days; I decided for daily shaving to go with wet shaving (cleaner result), and for three-day stubble, to use dry shaving. Good razor Matter of habit ![]() |
- Shaving is very gentle, even alcohol doesn't burn if you wipe your face with it afterward. I haven't used Philips or Braun foil shavers, but after reading forums for a long time, I found out that Panasonic is the softest - not disappointed. There was no irritation even after the first shave. The first week I shaved every other day, then, once my skin got used to it, I was able to shave every day, which was problematic with a razor due to neck irritation. - I've been using it for a year, during this time the battery has lasted a month and still does. Charging time is fast - 1 hour. The charger doesn't get hotter than usual. - It shaves cleanly, almost like a Gillette razor. Long hairs can be touched with a trimmer and then shaved off. - I haven't lubricated or serviced it during this time, and it's not necessary. - Easy cleaning - after shaving, you can drop a bit of shampoo on the foil, turn on the shaver, it will foam up, then open and rinse under water, everything is airtight. No brushes are needed for cleaning. - You can't shave while charging, but if it runs out of power and shuts off, repeatedly turning it on can squeeze out one more shave. - There's no case, but the blades are covered with a cap. use Panasonic ES-RF31 month or more |
The Panasonic ES-RF31 electric shaver has been awarded the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval mark by the reputable American laboratory, which tests products for compliance with the manufacturer's claimed qualities. This is one of the best approvals in the US home appliance and electronics market.
Efficient, versatile and practical
The Panasonic ES-RF31 shaving head is represented by four grids, three of which are movable. They adhere tightly to the skin and remove stubble of different lengths in a minimum number of passes, thereby preventing irritation. Under the mesh are two arcuate blades made of Japanese steel and sharpened at an angle of 30°. Their task is to provide a high cleanliness of shaving. The shaver head itself is also movable, which helps it follow the contours of the face and shave stubble even in traditionally difficult areas — under the nose or on the neck.
The body of the electric shaver is protected from moisture, so you can shave directly in the shower or bath, and for cleaning, simply lower the shaving unit under running water. Also included is a brush.
Autonomous and reliable
Panasonic ES-RF31 is battery operated. It holds a charge for 65 minutes and is fully charged in 1 hour. The LED indicator shows the current battery status (full, medium and low) both during operation and during charging. The power button is equipped with a lock so that the device does not accidentally turn on, for example, during transportation. Plus, it comes with a pouch for storage and transportation.
The reliability and durability of the razor is confirmed both by the reputation of the Japanese brand itself and by user reviews. The disadvantages of the model can be considered the inability of the retractable trimmer to effectively remove coarse hair and its small size against the background of the shaving head, and the disadvantage is quite expensive spare parts (shaving head nets and knives). But a three-year manufacturer's warranty will not make you worry about it ahead of time.
If you're looking for a quality cordless razor, the Panasonic ES-RF31-S is a relatively affordable option that not only brightens up your bathroom shelf, but also delivers a reliable and quality shave.
