An interesting situation) I am a student of the Faculty of Cybernetics, currently doing an assignment on "Computer Architecture" remotely to describe my HDD, I'm searching for information on the internet and stumbled upon here. My old companion has been working for 7 YEARS and it's doing fine. Not even any bad sectors) I just couldn't resist writing a review. Bought this drive a little over a year ago. I took to store photos and videos of the family archive. A week ago, he simply stopped being determined by the system. The service center said that the controller broke. Now, in order to fix it (if of course it succeeds), you need to pay almost the same price as its cost. But that's not the worst. If the repair of the controller does not give a positive result, then there is a chance to restore the information recorded on it. Fortunately, there are experts and they can be found via the Internet. But here the price of the question starts from the cost of the disk and ends ... I calculated this way: we multiply the cost of the disk by 4.5 and we get the final price of restoring information from the disk (in case you need to open a sealed chamber). Please pay attention to this when choosing a particular disc! For additional reference, you can look at the statistics of hard drive failures conducted by Backblaze. Everything is accessible and understandable. Draw your own conclusions what and for what purposes to buy. Price, when compared with "similar" models from other manufacturers, at the time of purchase. Работает больше трех лет. Первых пол года под системой, потом как файлопомойка. Только сейчас, спустя 3 года, начали появляться бэды, правда все в одном месте и в самом конце диска. Можно переразметить и оставить этих 20 гиг не размеченными, чтобы не задевать больную область (1% всего). Надеюсь прослужит еще не мало, но бекап важной инфы на всякий случай сделал. Модель стоит своих денег, но так как одна из самых дешевых, то я бы не стал возлагать больших надежд Дешевый, быстрый, относительно тихий, не греется. В общем их нет. Через 3 года на самом конце диска (что очень даже неплохой случай для дальнейшего восстановления) начали появляться беды. Но учитывая его цену и срок эксплуатации считаю это естественным износом. use Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 month or more |
