I bought it for a DVR on the advice of an IT specialist friend. I deliberately did not take a disk with a spindle rotation speed of 7200 rpm, I took one with a spindle speed of 5400. Such a disk is noticeably quieter, heats up less, and accordingly, logically, it should work longer.
