The ANKER SoundCore Life 2 Neo are rather curious over-ear full-size closed-back headphones that cost a little more than mass-market models from JBL and Panasonic, but at the same time strive to play on the same team with adults. This manifests itself in several ways. Firstly, they are able to provide up to 60 hours of continuous music playback from a single battery charge. According to Anker, most users will have to charge them literally once a month.
If something went wrong, you can get another 5 hours of battery life with a quick charge in 5 minutes. At the same time, in addition to the Bluetooth 5.0 wireless protocol, the headphones can be connected to a smartphone or player using the good old minijack, using them as classic stationary headphones. Life 2 Neo also stands out due to its convenience - unlike other inexpensive foam-lined models, it uses a memory foam filler.
These ear cushions reduce pressure on the head while maintaining a snug fit and noise isolation. Built-in speakers with a diameter of 40 mm support the Hi-Res specification and can reproduce the frequency spectrum up to 40 kHz, while most everyday models are limited to 20 kHz. Especially for bassheads, the headphones have BassUp technology, which artificially boosts low frequencies. To increase the convenience of transportation, the manufacturer has provided the ability to fold the case.

В першу чергу був здивований (приємно!) якістю звуку: тут широкий частотний діапазон, особливо навушники розкриваються при підключенні через кабель. Баси не давлять, середні чіткі та гарні верхи. Є фірмовий додаток на смартфон, який дозволяє оновити прошивку та тонко налаштувати еквалайзер, для лінивих там є багато пресетів. Особисто я користуюсь базовим пресетом Soundcore Signature і тільки коли мені замало басів - натискаю клавішу BassUp, яка підсилює баси, але без фанатизму та хрипу драйверів. Далі якість матеріалів та збірка: тут все також дуже круто, особливо хочеться відмітити ніжний матеріал амбушюр та оголов'я, наповнений піноматеріалом з ефектом пам'яті - вони не давлять на голову та вуха навіть після кількох годин використання. За рік нічого не потріскалось та не розпалось, не розтягнулось та не виглядає не презетабельно - навушники ніби тільки з коробки, хоча користуюсь щодня. Наступний пункт, в якому хочу похвалити цю модель - автономність. Я їх заряджаю раз 4 тижні, при цьому користуючись щодня мінімум по кілька годин. Гучність десь на 70%. Радує наявність Multipoint, коли можна підключити одночасно до смартфону та ноутбука, це дуже зручно: дивитесь фільм, тут вам дзвонять і звук перекидається на смартфон - не треба знімати навушники чи робити якість маніпуляції. Якість вбудованого мікрофону середня, для дзвінків вистачить. Гучність драйверів більш ніж достатня для всіх сценаріїв використання, характер звучання не міняється від її Хотілось би ANC, але "як то кажуть: слово на три букви - уви".
Ще не завадило би щоб чаші були поворотними, бо коли скидаєш навушники на шию і при цьому лежиш на ліжку (та навіть коли и просто сидиш) - це заважає нормально говорити чи повернути голову вбік, таке собі. Також не радує скромний комплект, в якому чомусь немає AUX кабеля, тому якщо хочете підключати саме кабелем - зверніть на це увагу. Із всього комплекту тільки USB C кабель і все. There's a proprietary smartphone app that allows you to update the firmware and fine-tune the equalizer, and for the lazy, there are many presets available. Personally, I use the basic Soundcore Signature preset and only press the BassUp button when the bass isn't enough for me, which enhances the bass without overdoing it or causing driver distortion. Next is the quality of materials and assembly: everything is also very cool here, and I particularly want to note the soft material of the ear pads and headband, filled with memory foam - they don't press on the head and ears even after several hours of use. After a year, nothing has cracked or fallen apart, hasn't stretched, and doesn't look unpresentable - the headphones seem like they're fresh out of the box even though I use them daily. The next aspect I want to praise in this model is autonomy. I charge them about once every 4 weeks, using them for at least a few hours daily. The volume is around 70%. I'm pleased with the presence of Multipoint, allowing you to connect simultaneously to a smartphone and a laptop, which is very convenient: you're watching a movie, you get a call, and the sound switches to the smartphone - no need to take off the headphones or make any maneuvers. The quality of the built-in microphone is average, sufficient for calls. The driver volume is more than adequate for all usage scenarios, and the sound character doesn't change with the volume level. I would like ANC, but "as they say: a word with three letters - alas." It would also be nice if the ear cups were rotatable, because when you take off the headphones around your neck and lie on the bed (or even just sit) - it interferes with talking or turning your head to the side, it's not ideal. The modest set is also disappointing, as it somehow lacks an AUX cable, so if you want to connect with a cable, pay attention to this. From the entire set, there's only a USB C cable and that's it.
