An updated version of the Aerox 3 gaming mouse from the popular manufacturer of devices for gamers SteelSeries. This modification was introduced to the market in 2022, which is reflected in the name of the device, and differs from its predecessor mainly in the updated Teflon feet, which now occupy a large area and thus provide better sliding on various surfaces. Also, the SteelSeries Aerox 3 2022 Edition computer mouse boasts improved mechanical switches, which are now capable of withstanding up to 80 million clicks.
Otherwise, we have almost the same wired gaming mouse with a bright design, built-in RGB lighting with effects and a perforated body. TrueMove Core is used as a sensor with a resolution adjustable within 200 - 8500 DPI. The device not only provides high positioning accuracy, but also maintains stable and accurate operation even when accelerating up to 35 G or moving at a speed of 300 ips. 5 programmable buttons are provided to the user. Despite the perforated body, the device itself is actually IP56 waterproof. Connection to a computer or laptop is carried out using a cable with a USB connector at the end.
Always clarify the specifications and configuration of the product with the online store manager before purchasing.

I bought it last year for 1,500 hryvnia. I was choosing between HyperX Pulsfire Surge, SteelSeries Aerox 3, and this one. I took this one because... it was cheaper than the 2021 version and the HyperX design was boring. The main disadvantage is that dirt gets inside the mouse through holes and if you look closely, it doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing. In the Steel Series GG Prism program, the stock backlight modes are very boring, there is too much black, and there is no way to create your own smooth transition. In general, the program is overloaded and difficult to navigate. The backlight is bright, you can always see it. It’s convenient that you can change the stock 3-meter wire for any other one with Type-C. It is possible to install 5 presets from 200 to 8500 CPI. For editing on Full HD I use 200, for the system and games 1500. This is the 3rd mouse in my life, so I can’t really say anything about whether it’s better than others or not. After experience with the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 keyboard, I want to say that their program has more modes, and it is possible to create your own. The coating of the PCM and paintwork is a little rough, but on the paintwork near the wheel (Where I press most often) the coating the size of an index finger has worn off, there it is more slippery and shiny. The mouse works the same as it did a year ago, and nothing is broken. Looks unusual compared to others. The holes are not covered by anything, dirt gets in. The software is not user-friendly, and the lighting modes are boring. ![]() |
