For long tiles

With this tile cutter, you can cut long tiles, as the stroke length of the device is 920 mm. In the tile cutter, the top feed of the disc — this design feature improves the accuracy of the cut compared to units with the bottom feed of the disc. Please note that the drive disc moves exclusively along the horizontal rail and does not rise up. Therefore, making cuts inside the tile will not work. The maximum thickness of the material that the machine can cut is 48 mm, so it will take some types of paving slabs.

Good corner cutting

Sturm TC-9822-U perfectly cuts tiles at an angle (38 mm at 45 C0), and according to customer reviews, with virtually no chips. At the same time, unlike devices with a lower disc feed, it is not the bed that leans here, but the disc itself with the engine. However, it is worth noting that the standard saw blade leaves much to be desired (makes chips on the tile), so it should immediately be replaced with a better one. Also, according to customer reviews, water splashes heavily from the tray during operation, so you should expect some contamination of the workplace.

Design features

The device is quite large in size (one of the sides is 1170 mm long) and bulky (31.6 kg), so at least two people are needed for transportation. A plus are the rigid folding legs, which are fixed with plastic screws. It is also worth noting that the unit is relatively inexpensive, as for vertical-type models.
