Such a modern sleeping bag cannot but surprise the inexperienced owner. I bought it for work. I sometimes have to spend the night in unheated rooms during the cold season, and such a sleeping bag + a couple of rugs turned out to be very suitable equipment for such feats. If you dress properly, you can sleep in it down to -8...-10 degrees. Well, without good thermal underwear it is suitable for -3...-5, not colder. The surprising thing is that, despite the generally good performance, this sleeping bag weighs only one and a half kilograms and folds up so compactly (a cylinder with a diameter of 20 cm and a length of 40 cm) that at first I did not believe that this was possible. It's all about modern fabrics and thermal insulation materials. On the outside, it is made of nylon, that is, covered with high-strength synthetic fabric, which has been impregnated with some kind of water-repellent compound. The inner lining is also synthetic, but vaguely reminiscent of cotton and more pleasant to the body. The secret of thermal insulation is hidden between the outer and inner lining, it is “hidden” in a two-layer shell made of microfiber material “holoucore”. I must add that the sleeping bag has the correct proportional dimensions; I personally have enough legroom. The branded zipper is reliable and has a lock to prevent spontaneous unfastening. Impregnation of the outer layer of fabric with a water-repellent composition lasts until the first wash. Maybe, of course, if washed with a special product for sleeping bags (250 hryvnia per jar), it would be different, but something tells me that any strong surfactant works approximately the same. So I then had to buy a separate impregnation agent to restore hydrophobicity. And yet, after washing it takes an unrealistically long time to dry, so wash it at least 4-5 days before hour X. |
