Stylish battery model
The trimmer of the American manufacturer Wahl has a thin all-metal body made of brushed steel. As a result, outwardly the device looks advantageous against the background of plastic counterparts.
The Wahl 9818-116 lithium-ion battery takes 1 hour to recharge 100% capacity. Then the model can be used for about 4 hours, which is one of the best battery life on the market. Fast charging is also supported: connecting the device to the network for a minute will give 5 minutes of operation.
3 heads and 4 nozzles
The trimmer comes with three cutter heads. The main unit is suitable for both beard and mustache grooming and head trimming, although the overall width of 25 mm seems to be optimal for the first tasks. With a cutting length of 0.4 mm, this knife block is compatible with 4 plastic attachments: three fixed at 4.5, 3 and 1.5 mm, as well as an adjustable comb from 2 to 12 mm in 2 mm increments.
Separately with Wahl 9818-116, a shaver head is provided, designed to trim excess hair on the face and/or form artistic grooves. It acts as a kind of alternative to an electric razor, but it does not shave perfectly smoothly, but leaves daytime stubble, including to eliminate the appearance of irritation on the skin.
The third complete head is a nozzle with a rotating knife for removing hair in the nose and ears.
More accessories
The trimmer kit includes a beard comb, oil for lubricating the blades, a brush for cleaning knives and body after use, a steel storage stand and a bag-case that will fit all the attachments and heads of the model.
The disadvantages of Wahl 9818-116 include a rather high price. But given the stylish appearance, high-quality materials and a cool battery, it looks quite justified. And most importantly — the trimmer handles well with its functions.
