The Xiaomi robot vacuum from the 2024 model range is an affordable yet multifunctional assistant for dry and wet home cleaning. With a suction power of 5000 Pa, it effectively cleans hard and carpeted floors, collecting dust, large debris, hair, and pet fur. In dry cleaning mode, the robot moves in a zigzag route, offering three power levels. During wet cleaning, it switches to a Y-shaped route, thereby imitating manual cleaning by wiping the same area in two directions.

The combined tank design includes a 400 ml dustbin and a 270 ml water tank. You can also adjust the water flow intensity to the cleaning pad. For navigation, the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum S20 uses the LDS laser system. The lidar scans the room, helps to accurately map, and navigate freely around the room, avoiding obstacles, while numerous sensors prevent falls from stairs.

The vacuum is capable of creating and storing multi-floor maps, which is relevant for multi-story homeowners. It also easily overcomes thresholds up to 20 mm in height. The control is as convenient as possible. Thanks to support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, the gadget understands user voice commands. In addition, in the proprietary mobile app, you can schedule cleaning, specify specific contaminated zones, adjust settings, and set up virtual walls. Autonomy is ensured by a large 3200 mAh battery, which lasts a couple of hours of continuous operation. When discharged, the robot automatically returns to the charging station, then resumes cleaning from where it left off.
