I've been using this TV box for over a year as an addition to my Samsung TV because the TV is very limited in the formats it can play. The device effortlessly plays HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content, and it outputs to the TV in the correct format. There are no issues with the picture. Sound is also good: it supports the new Dolby Atmos as well as older formats like DTS-HD, which modern TVs do not recognize at all. It works with miniDLNA, Samba, and NFS servers, and it even has a port for connecting an external hard drive (cable included). Everything would be great, but it's a typical Chinese product—powerful, yet a bit rough around the edges. The interface is somewhat unique and a bit clunky, with some glitches (sometimes it doesn't turn on or off with the TV remote, although the operation is fine, sometimes it restarts during viewing, and there's incorrect recognition of some movies in the catalog). A major downside is the incompatibility with the AV1 codec. However, if you have a collection of movies on a hard drive or in a local network that the TV cannot access, then this is a worthy option. Support for everything in the world If it's buggy, new firmware is released rarely and with new glitches, there is no support for the AV1 codec ![]() |
