Closed red dot sights
Closed
— closed dot sights look like optics: they have a closed body, usually cylindrical, inside which most of the components are located. This design is more reliable and resistant to dirt than the open one, and the aiming mark is clearly visible regardless of external lighting. In addition, protective flip-up covers, hoods and other additional accessories can be provided on a closed collimator, and the magnification of the sight can be higher than 1x (in open models, a separate magnifier is required to increase the magnification). On the other hand, collimators of this type are heavier and bulkier than open collimators, are somewhat less suitable for quick snap shooting, and are also more limited in installation options: for example, you cannot put such a sight on a pistol, while among open collimators there are models with a similar opportunity.Show
