In the Vostro series laptops, literally everything is done so as not to distract the owner from work and be ready for any difficulties. A mandatory attribute of the series devices is an HDMI output so that you can connect a projector for a presentation. There is also a separate LAN port for direct connection to the network. Communication is also in order: HD-quality webcams, and built-in speakers and microphones are above average.

An unusual feature was the Dell Mobile Connect virtual docking station, which works with iOS and Android smartphones. In fact, this is a regular mobile application with which the user connects a smartphone to a laptop and controls all its functions on a larger screen. The control over the smartphone is maximum: you can receive calls, make calls yourself, answer SMS and messenger messages, as well as launch mobile applications on the laptop screen.

An equally important element of each laptop is security measures. Usually, the fingerprint scanner mounted in the power button (Face ID is rare), the TPM encryption module and the Kensington anti-theft lock are responsible for data protection. Some modifications are equipped with an additional curtain that covers the webcam peephole when you are not using it.

Thanks to energy–efficient processors, integrated graphics cards and not too complicated cooling systems, almost all Vostro series laptops keep 8-12 hours on a single charge without any problems. At the same time, fast charging is able to resurrect the laptop, restoring 80% of the charge in less than an hour. The Achilles heel of these laptops was the display. Dell likes to save on the display, guided by the logic that for conditional texts and plates you do not need full sRGB coverage with an extended dynamic range.
