F1

— the Formula 1 racing simulator series by Codemasters has been released annually since 2009 under an official license. The release year is traditionally indicated directly in the game's title; a kind of exception was in 2012 when two titles were released — F1 2012 and F1 Race Stars, so by 2019 the series included 12 games. The very first game, F1 2009, was intended for the Wii and PSP and did not achieve much success; since 2010, the series has been released on all major desktop platforms (PC, PS, Xbox) and consistently receives high ratings from both fans and critics. Some games (particularly F1 2016 and F1 2018) are also available in mobile versions for iOS and Android.
