Citrus Juicers
Let's start with a "highly specialized" type – citrus juicers. They are the most affordable, but they cannot squeeze juice from other fruits and vegetables. If you are not an ardent admirer of orange or grapefruit juice, but like to drink them from time to time, alternating with other juices, it is better to choose another type. In addition, a citrus press is attached to many of them as an additional nozzle.
Centrifugal Juicers
Centrifugal juicers are by far the fastest and most performant. Don't like to wait? Then the centrifugal type is your choice. They work according to this principle: they crush vegetables and fruits into small parts, after which they pass them through a strainer. But there is also a downside to the coin – the speed of squeezing does not always mean the quality of the juice, some of which remains in an unaesthetic and unsuitable for further use cake.
It is important to know that this type of juicer is not suitable for the use of sprouted cereals, so if you plan to replenish your vitamin supply with juices from sprouted wheat or stems of medicinal plants, a centrifugal juicer is not for you.
Combined juicers
Combined juicers, in addition to the centrifugal unit, also have a cone nozzle, or a citrus press. Such juicers combine two blocks and are the most practical in everyday life.
Screw
Screw or, more simply, "pressing" juicers, work slower than centrifugal ones, but are able to squeeze maximum juice out of fruits and vegetables. They work on the principle of a meat grinder. The process of obtaining juice is much longer, but the juice at the output is of higher quality. One of the main advantages of such juicers is that they can be used not only for obtaining juice, but also for making puree, baby food.
In conclusion, we note that the most common and affordable is the second type of juicers – centrifugal. They quickly and quite efficiently perform their main function – juice preparation. But the final choice, of course, is yours.
