Household systems

The labeling of Daikin household split systems usually consists of the names of the indoor and outdoor unit in abbreviated form FTXS20K/RXS20K, where the first part is internal and the second is external. In the technical documentation, usually, the full extended name is used, and we will consider it.

Indoor unit:

1. Block Type:

  • F — for use in split or multi-split systems;
  • C — for use only in multi-split systems, this often refers to the youngest model in the line;
  • A — additional line of equipment.

2. Type of installation of the indoor unit:

  • T — wall mounted, usually these are models with a capacity of up to 6 kW;
  • V — floor, both column type and cantilever;
  • L — universal floor-ceiling unit;
  • D — channel.

3. Air conditioner operating mode, refrigerant and compressor type:

  • * — the absence of the letter indicates that the outdated refrigerant R22 is used and works only in cooling mode, without an inverter;
  • Y — cooling + heating, refrigerant R410A, without inverter;
  • K — cooling only, R410A, inverter;
  • X — cooling+heating, R410A, R32 inverter.

4. Belonging to the series:

  • * — without designation, regular model;
  • A — Stylish;
  • K — Miyora;
  • P — Comfora;
  • B, F — Sensira;
  • K, M, N — additional ruler, Siesta series, the article begins with the letter A;
  • M, R — Perfera;
  • G, J — Emura;
  • R — Ururu Sarara.

5. The power indicator is calculated as 25x10 = 2500 watts. Note that this refers to the cooling capacity, when working on heating, usually, the power is slightly higher.

6. Modification of the subseries A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J and so on.

7. Modification version. If there is no number, then this is the first model, and the numbers 1,2,3,4 and so on mean the modification number.

8. Power supply:

  • V1 — single-phase, 220-240V, 50 Hz;
  • VW, VE — single-phase 220-240V 50/60 Hz.

9. Target market:

  • B — made for Europe;
  • U — made for the USA.

External unit:

1. Type of external unit:

  • R — universal unit of Sky Air split systems;
  • M — outdoor unit of multi-split systems without an inverter;
  • n(M) is the inverter unit of multi—split systems, where n is the number of connected units;
  • CM, CMSQ — multi-split systems for commercial use.

2. Operating mode, type of refrigerant and compressor:

  • * — the absence of the letter indicates that the outdated refrigerant R22 is used and works only in cooling mode, without an inverter;
  • Y — cooling + heating, refrigerant R410A, without inverter;
  • K — cooling only, R410A, inverter;
  • X — cooling+heating, R410A, R32 inverter;
  • R — cooling only, R410A, without inverter, connection of several indoor units;
  • Q — cooling+heating, R410A, without inverter, connection of several indoor units;
  • Z — cooling+heating, R410A, R32, inverter, connection of several indoor units.

3. A line of equipment, similar to a series of indoor units:

  • N — simplified model, basic version;
  • S — improved model;
  • R — top, for Ururu Sarara;
  • G — for Emura and Nexura indoor units;
  • Q — it is possible to connect several indoor units with high energy efficiency;
  • QS is a standard model for connecting multiple indoor units.

4. Cooling capacity indicator, calculation 50x10 = 5000 watts.

5. Modification of the subseries A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J and so on.

6. Modification version. If there is no number, then this is the first model, and the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on mean the modification number.

7. Power supply:

  • V1 — single-phase, 220-240V, 50 Hz;
  • VW, VE — single-phase 220-240V 50/60 Hz;
  • Y1 — three-phase 380-415V;
  • W1,W — three-phase 400V.

  • B — made for Europe;

Semi-industrial systems

Indoor unit:

1. Application, F, for split and multi-split systems.

2. Block Type:

  • A — wall mounted, Sky Air series;
  • V — floor, both column type and cantilever;
  • D — channel;
  • U — cassette (sub-ceiling type).

3. Operating mode:

  • * — the absence of a letter indicates that it works only in cooling mode;
  • Y — cooling + heating.

4. Type of ceiling unit:

  • B — channel;
  • C — cassette;
  • K — for angular placement (practically do not occur).

5. General device class:

  • Z — for models the capacity is 35, 50, 60K. BTU;
  • P — for more performant models.

6. Cooling capacity indicator, calculation 71x10 = 7100 watts.

7. Belonging to the series.

8. Manufacturer's designation.

9. Power supply:

  • V1 — 1 phase, 220–240V, 50 Hz;
  • VE — 1 phase, 220–240V, 50/60 Hz.

External unit:

1. R is a universal Sky Air unit.

2. Compressor type:

  • * — the absence says that there is a regular compressor;
  • Z — inverter.

3. Operating mode:

  • Q, Y — cooling + heating;
  • R — cooling only, the absence of the letter also means working only in the cold.

4. Model Type:

  • G — standard version;
  • S — standard version for mass market;
  • SH is a highly efficient model.

5. Cooling capacity indicator, calculation 100x10 = 10000 watts.

6. Modification of the design.

7. Submodification, refers to the previous paragraph. The figure changes in cases when there were small changes in the model.

8. Type of power supply:

  • V1 — 1 phase, 220-240V, 50 Hz;
  • VM — 220–240V, 50/60 Hz;
  • Y1 — 380 — 415V, 3 phases;
  • YE — 380-415V, 400-440V, 50/60 Hz;
  • W1, W — three-phase 400V;
  • other designations are also possible.

For VRV systems, the marking will be different, but the general principle and many designations will converge.
