Rapoo Wireless Touch Optical Mouse T6 There are few touch mice available for sale and there are very few inexpensive ones among them. One of the good models of this kind is the Rapoo T6. This is a mouse for those who are impressed by the design and capabilities of the Apple Magic Mouse, but at the same time do not want to pay its not small price. T6 is the cheapest manipulator in our review, and if we compare it specifically with Magic Mouse, then its price is more than twice lower. By design, they are almost identical — the same teardrop shape and low profile of the case. The Rapoo T6, of course, uses cheaper materials. However, this almost does not affect the usability. On the contrary, due to the fact that there is no metal in the structure, it is very light — this is a big plus for fans of "weightless" mice. Contributes to low weight and the fact that the mouse is powered by a single battery. However, you will have to change the battery about once every three months. But the low stroke, as in the case of the Apple manipulator, may not appeal to people with large palms. The only serious disadvantage of the device is the optical, not laser, sensor. However, it is also used in more expensive models. So we'll put it down to the disadvantages of the Wireless Touch Optical Mouse T6, but it's not critical considering its cost. Although the two main physical buttons are not visible on the case, they are present in the design. It is convenient to work with them, they are pressed easily despite the apparent solidity of the mouse. The touch surface also functions well. There are no problems with touch and gesture recognition. It's just a pity that there are not as many gestures as we would like — vertical and horizontal scrolling, dragging objects and two-finger scrolling. However, there are still more of them than in some other touch-enabled manipulators, where only scrolling in two directions is available. So if you want an inexpensive but functional touch mouse, pay attention to the Rapoo T6. You can't go wrong. |

A convenient touch panel, combining the functions of the touch panel with a button, a proprietary function in Windows 8, long battery life.
The usual design.

Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 The Zone Touch Mouse T400 from Logitech resembles a working office horse. Neither in terms of functionality nor design, the younger sister of the M600 model does not offer anything outstanding, but simply performs its functions well. Because of this, it costs a little cheaper. The appearance of the Zone Touch Mouse T400 resembles traditional office manipulators: a minimum of frills, symmetry and a body made of ordinary black plastic. The sides of the mouse are rubberized. This makes it convenient to hold it even with wet hands. It connects to the computer via a radio channel. The manufacturer stated the battery life (2 AA batteries are used) is up to 18 months. There is a charge indicator on the case, so the dead batteries will not be a surprise for you. The mouse uses optical technology and has the usual sensor resolution of 1000 dpi. The touchpad Zone Touch Mouse T400 is located in the place of the wheel. It is quite large and convenient to work with. With it, you can scroll both vertically and horizontally. And by clicking on the panel (it also functions as a middle button) in Windows 8 and 8.1, you will go to the main panel of this system. This, however, is where its integration with windows ends. So you can use it with other operating systems. And you can safely take it on the road. If the Touch Mouse M600 can get scratched on a trip, then the T400 models are not afraid of scratches. Both with and without them, it looks modest, but it works well and is certainly suitable for those who primarily appreciate convenience and functionality. |

Stylish design, smooth and precise scrolling.
Low profile of the case, does not work well with Mac OS.
|
Another representative of Logitech is Touch Mouse M600. The manufacturer positions it as a stylish and convenient manipulator to replace traditional mice. Its design — glossy black plastic with a beautiful wavy texture and the absence of sharp protrusions and mechanical buttons — makes it clear that this is an unusual device. Only the low profile of the case spoils this impression a little. As we have already said, it is convenient to hold such mice only with a claw grip, and this option is not convenient for everyone. This optical mouse has a sensor with a resolution of 1000 dpi, and the touch zone occupies about half of the surface of the device. It works from two AA batteries, which last for about half a year. The touchpad does not support multi-touch gestures. Only smooth scrolling (horizontal and vertical) and flipping forward/backward with swiping gestures are available. And even despite the lack of gestures, in Windows 8 and 8.1 (as well as previous versions), it works very well and smoothly. This is especially true for scrolling, it reaches almost pixel accuracy. But for some reason the M600 does not want to be friends with Mac OS — some users complain that it is impossible to properly configure it on an Apple computer. If you need support for "window" gestures, note that the M600 model has a similar model — a mouse very similar in design Touch Mouse T620, which the manufacturer positions precisely as a functional manipulator for Windows 8 and 8.1. This model supports three gestures — swiping from left to right (switching between programs) and from right to left (opening the panel with the Start button), and double-clicking on the centre (the main menu of Windows 8). In addition, using the sensor, you can scroll in the vertical or horizontal direction. |

Bluetooth connection, Android compatibility, convenient touch panel.
Banal design.

A mouse with a design similar to the Touch Mouse T400 is offered by Microsoft. Moreover, they are similar not only in appearance, but also in functionality. In the Sculpt Touch Mouse, the touchpad is also placed in the middle and supports vertical and horizontal scrolling. And the appearance resembles a more sophisticated, but still an office mouse without any special frills. However, it is useful primarily not in the office, but when using a laptop and tablet. The mouse is connected via Bluetooth. This means that in laptops do not need to occupy one of the USB ports. Another undoubted plus is the manufacturer's stated support for Android. To connect the device to the tablet, you do not need adapters and additional devices — Bluetooth is used. Sculpt Touch Mouse has a proprietary laser sensor. The technology is called BlueTrack and allows you to use the mouse on almost any surface. The exception is transparent materials, but almost no one can cope with them (except obsolete ball mice and several models like Logitech Anywhere MX). The sensor resolution is standard for office models — 1000 dpi. This is quite enough for comfortable work. Due to laser technology, positioning in it is more accurate than in optical mice, so it can be useful in games. However, the reviews noted that sometimes her drivers "fall off" and she stops working. However, the problem here is more likely in incorrect installation or other software problems than in the operation of the device. In general, this manipulator from Microsoft should also be attributed to the "workhorses", as well as the Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400. It does not offer anything outstanding, but it is convenient to use it. For mobile devices, it can become a reliable companion thanks to Bluetooth operation. So if you don't have enough free USB ports in your laptop, this is your choice. |

Stylish design, fits comfortably in your hand, supports multi-touch gestures.
Difficulties in using with Windows, high price.
|
And this is a real old-timer in the market. The mouse was released in 2009 and immediately attracted attention. At that time, sensor technologies were no longer a novelty, but no one used them in mice. Apple Magic Mouse was positioned as a device for advanced gadget lovers. And now this characteristic is fully justified. And although many people find it similar to a soap dish, it looks modern, and it is comfortable in the hand. However not everyone likes a low stroke, but this is a matter of taste. The entire surface of the mouse is touch-sensitive and supports Multi-touch gestures. By default, a finger touch anywhere is a left—click. The mouse also works as a model with two buttons, and left-handers can swap the zones of the right and left buttons. Using Multi-touch gestures, it is convenient, for example, to flip through photos in iPhoto and scroll through documents and websites. By the way, scrolling is pulsed, that is, its speed depends on the speed of your gestures. If the hand just lies on the mouse, she understands that nothing needs to be done. You just need to work with it a little and you will understand how different mice turn out to be. However, not only in terms of ergonomics, but also in terms of cost – the price tag of the Magic Mouse is higher than that of analogues from other manufacturers, which is characteristic of Apple products. You can fully enjoy the stylish look, convenience and functionality of the "magic mouse" only on the Mac OS platform. On Windows, it can also be used, but installation and configuration is sometimes fraught with difficulties. So this device is intended primarily for owners of Apple laptops and desktops. If you are not one of them, pay attention to the analogues from Rapoo and Logitech. |
