At the same time, the dimensions (40x60x90 cm) and the drum volume (42 L) of the Hotspot-Ariston are standard for machines of this type with a load of 6 kg. Only about ten "washing machines" with similar parameters are available for sale, for example, Candy EVOT 1007 1D and Bosch WOT 24457. WMTG 722 H stands out against their background with modes that are absent from devices of other brands: for bed linen and towels (Bed @ Bath), washing clothes from different fabrics with the usual duration (Mix 30 °) and accelerated (Mix 15'), etc.

As with other Hotpoint-Ariston machines, the WMTG 722 H has a "Stain removal" mode with a so-called bio-phase. With it, the water is heated to 40 °C, which makes it possible to effectively use the powder with enzymes. Then the temperature increases to 43 °C in order to remove the contamination that has entered the fabric, but not to harm even delicate materials. At the same time, such savings are achieved by increasing the duration of washing cycles by 10-30 minutes, rather than increasing the efficiency of the machine.

According to customer reviews, the disadvantages of the model include an uninformative display. It only shows the cycle time when it is set up before start and during washing. Other parameters (such as spin speed) are displayed by indicators, which is typical of low-cost and "old" models. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the control system — the choice of the programme is carried out by the rotary controller familiar to many housewives, and their settings are set using the buttons.

WOT 24255 is one of the most functional and economical among machines with vertical loading. Even if its price ($440) is more than that of many 2015 models, it seems quite justified to many buyers.
