I bought these scales to keep track of my weight. My relatives also keep an eye on their figures and weigh themselves after workouts, runs, walks, and all that. I chose these because of the affordable price, nice design, and ease of use. And that cute little marmot face just says - exercise, eat right, weigh yourself more often, and enjoy your successes. The scales consist of two parts: a solid thickness glass plate and a balancing mechanism with electronics that measures weight. The four legs have a rubber texture. On the front side, there is a display that shows weight in kilograms or pounds, and the room temperature. There is also a feature where the scales remember the previous reading and compare it with the current one, which is a plus. They look and feel sturdy. I let a friend who weighs over 100 kilograms use them - they held up just fine. They don't take up much space - you can easily store them under the bed or in a small closet, just remember where you put them. They are powered by two regular AAA batteries, not some exotic ones. The manufacturer packaged the scales well - in a sturdy cardboard box and bubble wrap, so they wouldn't get damaged during transport. The included batteries last a long time, it's been over six months and they are still going strong. A word of caution - on the back side, there is a barely noticeable button that switches the weight measurement between kilograms and pounds. Therefore, it is advisable to be careful not to accidentally press it. Occasionally, it happens that if you weigh yourself 2-3 times in a row, there is a difference of one kilogram between the readings, the reason for which is unknown; the floor is level, so it is definitely not affecting the result.
