Next to it was an Arctic F12 PWM PST working with higher performance than this Be Quiet, but the Arctic is not audible at all, whereas the Be Quiet's motor noise is noticeable. When both fans were set to 1000 RPM, outside the case, the Be Quiet was still noisy. Moreover, I pulled out an old tired CoolerMaster fan, 3pin, thinking that maybe in comparison with this buzzing Be Quiet it would perform well. But no, at full speed (12V) their noise level was roughly the same, on 5V Be Quiet won (but this is the minimum speed, any new cooler will be quiet at such speeds).
In the end, the question arises: who is it even made for?
If you want it to perform its functions effectively - it’s not your option. If just for “looks” - also doubtful, as for looks young people buy RGB. It seems like it's just marketing: an attractive appearance (thought-out body design), and inside - whatever is cheaper.
I'll put it to blow on the side wall of the case, at 5V through an adapter to 3pin. There's no reason for this junk to occupy a 4pin slot on the board, as at higher speeds it sounds like a helicopter, yet blows weakly.
