EFB technology is something between traditional lead-acid batteries and advanced AGM batteries. The positive plates in the design of such batteries are wrapped in "bags" of microfiber, which absorbs and holds the liquid electrolyte. This improves the transmission of starting currents, extends the service life of the battery, and increases resistance to deep discharges. Models of the Bosch TE EFB line are designed for trucks and buses.
The vast majority of them have a capacity of approximately 180 Ah to 240 Ah and are designed for an operating voltage of 12 V. The battery cases are of the Asian form factor, the terminals are the usual conical (Euro). Depending on the modification, the batteries of the family are available in versions with right and left positive polarity. Batteries from this series do not require maintenance, are resistant to vibrations, and are characterized by low self-discharge. Finally, a significant advantage of the batteries of the line is their long service life.
