The budget travel iron of the Camry brand seems like a toy due to its size: it fits in a man’s palm and weighs only 600 g. And the folding handle finally confirms the status of a road model, making the device even more compact and convenient for transportation. But in fact, this is not a toy at all, but a fully functioning iron with almost the same functions as its full-size older brothers. Of course, its characteristics are more modest, so it is not suitable for everyday ironing of large quantities of bed linen, curtains and items made of thick, “capricious” fabric. But he can easily help put suits, T-shirts and children’s clothes in order during trips.

Ironing with steam

The rated power of this baby is 800 W, and the maximum reaches 1500 W. Due to this, it heats up quite quickly and smoothes out wrinkles, especially if you use a combination of heat and steam. In this case, steam is supplied at a speed of 10 g/min - this is a very low power, but, again, this is enough for most simple tasks. In general, it is noticeable that the manufacturer gave the steaming function a secondary role. This model has neither a steam boost nor the possibility of vertical steaming. And there are only 5 steam holes on the sole, so we can’t talk about full steaming - rather, it’s just an addition to dry ironing.

By the way, the sole itself has a Teflon coating, which gives it several advantages: easy sliding on the fabric and non-stick properties. The thermostat with three temperature settings provides the ability to work with different materials without damaging them. The water reservoir is small and holds only 40 ml. But, given the low steam generation power, this is enough. But the cord, despite the compactness of the iron, is long enough to choose a comfortable workplace - 1.95 m.
