I had to buy a dashcam when I was "getting a job" in a taxi service. It was a mandatory requirement for them, supposedly our passengers should only be driven in cars equipped with a dashcam. Besides that, there were a ton of other rules to comply with. But what can you do if you want to work? The competition among taxi drivers is intense right now, so you have to meet the standards. I was looking for one of the cheapest models and it turned out to be really inexpensive – for the price of a full tank of my car, I could buy two of these ))) The price is surprisingly low. However, there are no miracles, and when viewing the recorded video, everything falls into place. It has a good set of accessories, including everything needed for mounting on the windshield and connecting to the cigarette lighter. Additionally, it's equipped with a "Nokia-type" battery, USB, and Audio-Video cable. It's easy to install in the car, with the most time-consuming part being the somewhat discreet routing of the power cable so it doesn't hang in front of you. It supports memory cards up to 64 gigs. There's a color swivel screen with a diagonal of 6+ cm. The video quality is lousy, there is no real 720p at all. It seems that the device takes a picture with a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels from the sensor, stupidly stretches it, cuts it off a little vertically and here you have 1280 by 720 pixels. Soaps terribly, the numbers can only be disassembled from 1.5-2 meters, that is, at close range. On the move, it's even worse, it's good you can still make out the type of car and its color. But that's nothing, the real tryndets starts at night. Infrared illumination is not in the arc at all, we can assume that it does not exist at all. The battery, judging by its weight, is fake, it’s good if it has at least a quarter of the nominal capacity. The registrar works on it for about 15 minutes. |
