Developed drainage system
The asymmetric tread pattern used in the Continental WinterContact TS860 has been replaced by directional symmetry. A distinctive feature of the new “drawing” style is a quartet of wide circumferential hydroevacuation channels, supported by oblique auxiliary drainage grooves that are directed against the trajectory of the wheel rotation. Developed aqua-drainage network quickly and effectively drains the contact spot, preventing the risk of the car drifting into aquaplaning and slashplaning.
Cool Chili rubber compound
The rubber compound of the model is characterized by a high content of silica and organic resins. It is called Cool Chili. The tyre retains proper elasticity at low negative outdoor temperatures, and the composition of the rubber compound causes low rolling resistance.
