The Einhell TH-MA 1300 wall chaser is equipped with a moderate power (1300 W) motor because it is designed to perform relatively simple work related to preparing for the installation of hidden wiring during construction or repair work. The power reserve is enough to confidently cut strobes in masonry and aerated concrete blocks. Users note that the tool is reluctant to work on concrete: it cuts rather slowly, and the engine protection often works against overloads. But the low price, as it were, hints that one should not expect too much from this wall chaser.
Design features
The device does not weigh very much (4.8 kg), but the load on the hands is felt. Therefore, the wall chaser is equipped with an additional handle. It distributes the weight between two hands and allows you to guide the cutting blade exactly along the markings. There are no jerks when starting the engine, because the wall chaser is equipped with a starting current limiter. The speed is not adjustable, but the idle speed (9000 rpm) gives some margin, which is enough for simple work.
The wall chaser comes with two diamond cutting discs with a diameter of 125 mm and six intermediate washers. By rearranging the washers, you can change the width of the strobe in the range from 8 to 26 mm. The depth of the groove is changed with the adjusting screw on the casing.
The design of the tool provides the ability to connect a vacuum cleaner. But users complain that due to the unfortunate shape of the protective cover, even with the vacuum cleaner connected, dust flies in all directions. Therefore, you cannot do without a good respirator and safety glasses during work. The short power cord (2 m) also causes criticism, because of which you have to use extension cords and carriers.
A simple wall chaser for simple tasks
Despite not the highest power, the Einhell TH-MA 1300 wall chaser will confidently cope with work that cannot be done with a conventional grinder. But the manufacturer emphasizes that Einhell tools in general and wall chasers of this brand in particular are not professional tools. They are intended for those who independently carry out small repairs at home, in the country or in the garage.
