When a brand focuses on the production of one type of gadget, the output is quite good products. This is what happened with the Hopestar H25. The model, despite its purely Chinese origin and an overly affordable price tag ($50), may well compete with more venerable competitors by an order of magnitude more expensive.

Appearance for every taste

Hopestar decided not to reinvent the wheel and borrowed the design and colour concepts from the JBL Charge, adding a few of their own. In addition to the classic black, red and blue, there is also turquoise and khaki.

It is comfortable to hold the column in your hands, even despite the weight of 2.4 kg, it does not slip out due to the fabric coating, and a strap can be attached for carrying. Pleased with the presence of water protection IPX6. All connectors are closed with rubber seals and plugs. So you can safely take the system with you to the street, even in wet rainy weather.

Surprises with possibilities

The column has all possible connectors, including AUX, FM-receiver and TWS function, which allows you to connect another one of the same to the system, creating a stereo pair. I was also pleased with a capacious 6000 mAh battery, which can be used as a power bank.

But especially the H25 surprises with its sound. It is quite powerful and balanced in frequencies. An 18-watt woofer and 2 passive radiators are responsible for the lower range, and 2 speakers of 8 watts each are responsible for the midrange / treble. The speaker plays assertively, demonstrating a good volume margin, practically without changing the nature of the sound depending on the listening angle.

Summing up, we can safely consider the Hopestar H25 an excellent solution for little money, which will please literally everyone: its appearance, its wide features, and its powerful sound.
