Acquaintance with an impact screwdriver happened to me recently. Our company maintains industrial equipment produced in previous years, and since some of it is operated outdoors, corrosion of threaded fasteners, alas, is not uncommon. In a good way, for such tasks you need an impact screwdriver / wrench, but there is a simple and much more affordable option - such an unusual screwdriver. This is a compact and very interesting tool that does one extremely simple thing - it converts hammer energy into a large torque for the bit. The design has a reverse function, which means the screwdriver works in both directions and you can use it not only for unscrewing screws and bolts that are caught in paint or rusted, but also for screwing them in tightly. Since it has a standard 1/4" drive, you can use it with socket heads for unscrewing and especially for screwing bolts and nuts. It tightens very securely, tested by personal experience. It comes with two long 80mm bits (SL8 and PH2) and four shorter 36mm ones (SL6, SL8, PH2, PH3). The loaded parts of the impact mechanism are made from hardened tool carbon steel alloyed with molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, and chromium. The same steel composition is used for making blades for cold metal cutting, thread rolling dies, and presses with increased impact loads. The tool and bits are placed in a small, yet hefty one-kilogram metal case. The tool is very simple in operation and is foolproof in a good way. To work at the installation site, in addition to an impact screwdriver, you also need to carry a hammer with you, so that a powerful impact cordless wrench will be even lighter in the end. But, for the price, a screwdriver is ahead ... once every 15))) |
