The filtration system uses the reverse osmosis process, which effectively purifies water and removes 99% of contaminants, including viruses and bacteria. Filtered water can be drunk without pre-boiling and used for cooking, and its softening prevents scale on household appliances. In total, water goes through 5 stages of purification. At the first, a mechanical cartridge made of foamed polypropylene removes sand, silt and other mechanical impurities with a particle size of up to 5 microns.

After that, a cartridge with granulated activated carbon from coconut shells removes chlorine, reduces the concentration of heavy and non-ferrous metals, as well as phenol and petroleum products. The carbon cartridge further purifies the water from chlorine, organochlorine compounds and mechanical impurities, and also prepares the water for the main stage. Kaplya RO5-1 assigns the main work to the reverse osmosis membrane, which allows only water and oxygen molecules to pass through and retains other substances.

All impurities are washed away into the sewer, and purified water enters the 8-liter storage tank. After passing through the storage tank, the carbon post-filter corrects the taste and smell of the water. The reverse osmosis membrane allows you to filter water at a rate of about 8 liters per hour. Regular replacement of filter elements ensures stable operation of the system and high quality of purified water. It is recommended to change the pre-filters every 3-6 months, the post-filter once a year, and the membrane once every 2-3 years. The filtration system is designed for installation under the sink and is supplied with a single tap for supplying purified water.
