A fairly advanced household steam cleaner from the famous German company Karcher. The model belongs to the highest price segment, but at the same time it boasts good power, wide functionality and is almost completely capable of replacing dry cleaning at home. The power consumption is 2200 W, while the equipment is protected from overheating — when the temperature rises critically, an auto-off is activated.
The main water tank has a capacity of 0.5 liters, however, an additional 1.5 liter tank is provided, from which water is added to the main one as it is used. This design allows you to heat water to the desired state of steam in just 180 seconds. The steam output can be adjusted and the maximum pressure is 4.2 bar. The safety valve regulates the pressure in the tank — in case of overvoltage, it releases excess steam, which avoids not only overheating or burns, but even an explosion.
The Karcher SC 5 EasyFix steam cleaner is also equipped with a child protection system — a special lock deprives the child of the opportunity to play with a rather dangerous unit. The device is equipped with various nozzles: a point nozzle for small areas, a round brush that combines mechanical action with steam cleaning, a floor cleaning nozzle and a fabric nozzle for delicate surfaces, as well as more rare ones — an angled one for hard-to-reach places and a brush for textiles.
Such a set allows you to carry out a full-fledged disinfecting cleaning of the whole house and even the wardrobe. And thanks to the EasyFix technology, the attachments are easy to change without requiring direct contact with the dirt. The weight of the model is 6 kg, however, the length of the cord (6 m) and the steam hose (2 m) give a sufficiently wide cleaning radius, so that you practically do not have to carry a heavy unit.

The steam cleaner of the German company Karcher is an advanced solution. Thanks to the 2200 watt boiler and the 2 water tank system, the model is quickly ready for use: the 0.5 liter steam boiler heats up in just 3 minutes. And an additional 1.5-liter detachable tank increases the operating time without refueling (up to 60 minutes) and allows to replenish water “on the go” without stopping the cleaning process.
An operating pressure of 4.2 bar makes the Karcher SC 5 EasyFix a powerful steam cleaner. The power of steam supply is regulated by a switch on the body. As an additional feature, the VapoHydro feature is implemented, designed to clean stubborn dirt. Hot water is added to the steam in the corresponding mode, which helps to soften and wash away the dirt.
Traditional set of nozzles
The main working tool of the steam cleaner is a floor brush with a fabric cover for the care of delicate coatings. It is easy to install and remove, and also makes it possible not to contact with dirt. For kitchen appliances and sanitary ware, mirrors and other relatively small surfaces, a handheld nozzle is provided. This set is complemented by a spot nozzle and a small round brush.
