The senior model in the updated line of gamepads from Logitech sample of 2011. The main features include a wireless connection interface and support for the vibration feedback function, which allows you to simulate the sensations of various physical phenomena in the game (recoil from shooting, shaking on a bad road, etc.). Ergonomic design and rubberized grips make the device comfortable in the hand. For control, there are 10 programmable buttons, 2 symmetrically located sticks and an eight-position D-pad - a very standard set.

There is such a wired version of the gamepad, I have been using it for a couple of months Pleasant to the touch, feel good in the hands No, only now the left stick is not pressed like that, I don’t know why, because I bought a gamepad from a friend for 150 UAH, and it’s even been a couple of years ![]() |
An excellent gamepad, I bought it about a year ago, everything got tired, but there are a couple of nuances. I would like to immediately give advice for the future. First, always check the charge level, this is very important. Secondly, if you decide to go down to the Titanic, then please clean the sticks and keys (it is fraught with sticking). Great design, inexpensive and good size. At great depths, charging may end, I would like the battery a little more. Still sticky keys and leads the stick to the left. ![]() |
Don't bother picking up this ancient piece of logitech poop. There are many different nuances, but there is one huge problem, see the disadvantages. After thinking about the purchase - nothing! The money is thrown away. Due to inexperience, I purchased 2 controllers at once, hoping for the brand. The main issue is losing connection with the module at a distance over 50 cm. So, it can hardly be called wireless. The connection drops at the worst possible moments for 1-3 seconds. Second, is the lousy support. My complaint was answered by Timur from support. First, he sent a list of useless actions for configuring the gamepad connection to Windows. Then, when informed that the problem wasn't resolved, this miracle replied, "We were glad to help, feel free to contact us again," and never responded again. This issue is frequently described online, but the folks at Logitech don't care about customers. Don't make our mistake—don't buy this ancient piece of trash. |
Logitech's response to Chamberlain
In terms of design, the F710 completely repeats the PlayStation gamepads — a pair of symmetrical sticks, a D-pad with arrows, 4 side shifts and a main unit with four buttons. The main difference is that the main buttons are not marked with geometric shapes like on the DualShock, but with coloured letters “ABXY” like on the Xbox. Since most of the games on PC are focused specifically on the Xbox, you won't have to rush to find the right button when a prompt like "press X, then A" appears on the screen.
Simultaneous support for XInput and DirectInput
The main feature of Logitech controllers is the simultaneous support of XInput and DirectInput modes. In the first case, the system defines the F710 as an Xbox Controller for Windows with a standard layout, in the second as a Rumblepad with the ability to reprogram the buttons for themselves. In the latter case, the gamepad can be pulled up to control third-party applications, for example, use it as a MIDI controller in music software. You can switch modes using a special mechanical lever on the case.
Connected and into battle
The main weakness of the F710 is ergonomics. The responsiveness of the sticks is not impressive, despite the fact that now they can move in a perfectly circular path. The accuracy with small deviations is low, and the finger from above sits not quite comfortably and gets tired faster. Especially in games like FIFA, where you have to constantly twist both sticks. Well, analogue triggers / shifts are somewhat tight. This is a plus for durability, but a minus for convenience. For example, in racing, where most of the time you need to press the trigger to the floor, your fingers get tired faster than when playing with controllers from Xbox and PS. Therefore, be sure to try the gamepad before buying.
Battery powered
Another big difference from the brainchild of Sony and Microsoft lies in the nutrition. Instead of a battery, the Logitech F710 uses regular AA batteries. It is their quality that determines how much the charge of the gamepad will last.
