Quiet operation of the heating element RX-Silence PLUS

The French electric convector Noirot Spot E-3 Plus 2000 is the oldest model in the line, capable of heating a room up to 20 m2 with a ceiling height of up to 3 m. The model was designed in such a way that it can be used for both main and additional heating . The device is made in a thin steel case (8 cm), painted on the outside with a special Mimetique powder enamel, which can change its tone to match the colour scheme of the interior. The convector can be mounted on the wall using a hinged bracket, and to install it on the floor, you need to separately purchase support legs with wheels, which are not included in the delivery set. The heater received electrical protection class II and water protection IP24, which allows it to be operated only in dry rooms. The solid-cast heating element RX-Silence PLUS with a power of 2 kW is made of aluminium alloy and, thanks to the shell surface with an increased heat exchange area, heats the air quickly and silently. The absence of intermediate elements in the design reduces heat losses and makes it possible to achieve a high efficiency value (up to 99%). The front panel outlet grille spans the full width of the façade (74 cm), providing a directed convective air flow.

Manual setting of standby heating

The device is very easy to set up and manage, because reliable mechanics “rules the ball” here. At the top there are two wheels of rotary switches, one of which regulates the temperature of the precise electronic thermostat, and the second is responsible for turning on the device and selecting modes. The heater supports 2 automatic modes: "Comfort" and "Economy". Before starting work, you must set the desired comfortable heating temperature. But economy mode does not need a separate setting, due to the fact that it correlates the temperature with the main heating, setting it about 3 °C lower than in comfort mode. Unfortunately, it is not possible to quickly activate the standby heating here, but it is possible to make manual settings (5 – 7 °C). The minimum service life of the convector, subject to all operating standards prescribed by the manufacturer, is 10 years.
