It seems to be not difficult to choose a kitchen hood now, in ordinary and online stores there are literally many hundreds of models in stock, but this turned out to be the main problem. The number is huge, but the difference between them is not quite obvious. Since the main drawback of the old hood was the infernal noise that it made when working even at medium speed, one of the main requirements for the new one was, if not noiselessness, then at least more or less quiet operation. In one of the stores, the sales assistant advised me to pay attention to the hoods of the Pyramid trademark. They cost a little more than the very low-cost models, but the quality is noticeably better. I have already seen this in eight months of use. I love to cook and cook often. And with the new telescopic hood, this process has become noticeably more comfortable. Firstly, it makes an order of magnitude less noise, at the first of the three speeds the noise is generally insignificant, the turbine principle of the centrifugal fan used affects. Higher speeds are heard louder, but in any case, the fact that at maximum it is almost as noisy as the old one at minimum is very pleasant. Continuing this comparison, I note that the previous hood at maximum speed gave about 500 cubic meters / hour of productivity (and was noisy so that it was impossible to talk in the kitchen). And the old one, with a fundamentally lower noise level, can suck out up to 1000 cubic meters. I will add that switching speeds and turning the backlight on / off is mechanical here, using the good old switches. Illumination for illumination is provided by two forty-watt incandescent lamps. Well, who in 2016 in household appliances puts this for backlighting? For a long time there are inexpensive and economical LED systems. |
