Heard about fashionable mikatermicheskie heaters from a friend. A new and unfamiliar word was remembered when I was doing a major overhaul of half of the house, I remembered it, read it, felt it and used it to heat the workshop. This room is located in the annex, which I completed in the summer and it was too troublesome to connect it to the general heating circuit due to the layout features. This is a heater that works on the infrared principle, that is, it heats both the air (like the most ordinary heaters) and the entire environment with the help of thermal infrared radiation. Although the surface of the case does not heat up to high temperatures (maximum heating is 80 degrees), it has a significant area. For the workshop room, which is 10 square meters, I took two of these heaters. According to the passport power of 400 watts, this is kind of short, but I insulated the outer walls of the extension well and in practice they are quite enough. It has a built-in thermostat with a digital LED indicator, on which you can set the desired room temperature. It works very approximately (like all thermostats built into heaters), but its capabilities are quite enough for me. It has a long service life and a long warranty. An important point in working with such a heater is that you need to turn it on in advance. It weighs as much as 12 kg and, with a thermal power of 400 W, even heating itself up to 80 degrees takes a lot of time. True, this feature has a reverse side of the coin. You can safely turn off the heating one hour before the end of work. Due to the significant mass, the case remains warm for a long time. |
