In terms of price / quality ratio, Yongnuo flashes are out of competition. They are preferred for advanced functionality at affordable cost. The YN968N II model was no exception to the generally accepted rule for cameras with interchangeable lenses Nikon and Canon.
Leading and led
The on-camera light is positioned as a full-featured TTL flash with a built-in transmitter for operation in Yongnuo YN622N radio synchronization systems. Remote control is possible in Master and Slave modes. In master flash mode, up to 3 groups of pulsed light sources operate. As a slave device, the model works in TTL, M, MULTI modes. The pulse power is manually adjusted from 1 to 1/128 in 1/3 EV steps.
powerful light
Flash zoom can be adjusted over a wide range of focal lengths from 20 to 200 mm. The power of the Yongnuo YN968N II light pulse characterizes the guide number 60 — at such a distance in metres the light “finishes” at ISO 100 sensitivity at maximum zoom. Flash head rotates 180° horizontally, 7° down and 90° vertically. In a separate order, users will appreciate the HSS high-speed sync mode, which handles fast shutter speeds up to 1/8000 s.
Video light and related equipment
Videographers will benefit from a constant-glow LED lamp with power adjustment from 5 to 100%. To change the colour temperature of the video light, a yellow cap for a group of diodes is included in the flash package. Also, the model is equipped with a PC synchronization port, a USB connector for updating firmware, an interface for connecting an external battery pack. The internal power cores of the flash are four AA batteries. As the charge in them decreases, the flash recharges noticeably longer.
