The Chinese company Huawei is one of the leaders in the production of various telecommunications equipment. It is this technique that brings her the main income — many leading mobile operators are happy to purchase it. Huawei is also engaged in the production of various electronics for ordinary users. These are smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, network equipment and media centers. Due to good functionality, attractive design and reasonable cost, this product is quite popular in many countries around the world.
Interestingly, initially Huawei mobile devices did not differ in anything particularly attractive. Smartphones and simple phones of the brand could be praised for their reliability, but not for their functionality or design. However, the Chinese company quickly learned and mastered new features. New developments constantly appeared, a lot of attention was paid to design. The result is the recognition of users from all over the world. And the range of manufactured smartphones includes both low-cost and extremely advanced models built using the latest technologies.
In 2015, Huawei was able to take the third place in the world ranking of smartphone manufacturers. And in 2018, the company managed to take second place, beating Apple. An excellent result for a relatively young Chinese company (Huawei Technologies was founded in 1987), which until recently was not taken seriously by many at all.
However, in 2019, the company began to have serious problems — it fell under US sanctions after being accused of spying for the Chinese government. The result was the inability to use Google services. And although the latter are not in demand in the Chinese market, this has had an extremely negative impact on global sales. Attempts to create their own alternative to Android, dubbed HarmonyOS, with their own set of services were not particularly successful. As a result, it was decided to spin off Huawei's popular Honor brand, under which mobile devices were produced, into a separate company, which today is part of Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology.
The future of smartphones manufactured under the Huawei brand remains a big question today. And although the company claims that they have big plans, more and more users are starting to switch to devices from other manufacturers.
