Between the walls

— projectiles fixed between two walls or other similar supports. Typically, such a mount is used in horizontal bars. It assumes that the crossbar on each side is rigidly attached to the wall — usually with bolts. One of the most popular options for using interwall models is installation in a narrow corridor of a residential apartment or between the edges of a doorway (not to be confused with installation “in a doorway”, see the relevant paragraph). At the same time, compared with another similar type of installation — spacer — such installation is much more reliable, it allows you to withstand a lot of weight. For gyms, such horizontal bars are poorly suited, but this is not so much a disadvantage as a feature. But the unequivocal disadvantage is that the installation requires two walls located at a certain distance from each other. In some models, however, it may be possible to adjust the distance, but the range of such adjustment is very limited.
