In the fall of 2021, Huawei's subsidiary brand Honor rolled out to the public a new series of near-top smartphones Honor 50, which was sold out faster than bitcoin during the depreciation. Huawei says the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite sell 10 times better than their predecessors. What is the reason for success? And the fact that these were the company's first smartphones in a long time with support for Google services, which the company had to abandon after the trade war between the United States and China.

At the start of sales in the new series, only 2 models were announced - Honor 50 and Honor 50 Lite. Their main advantage lies in the fact that both combine the advantages of the premium segment with advanced chips, while being much cheaper than the conditional iPhone or Galaxy Note. In fact, each smartphone in the line offers the most for its money: a top-end display (IPS or OLED), a premium body with a memorable look, modern communication modules and traditional high-end cameras for the company.

The most popular among buyers is the older model Honor 50. This is a well-balanced near-top smartphone with a high-quality OLED display, a smart hardware platform (Snapdragon 778G + 6 GB of RAM), decent battery life and, of course, excellent cameras. According to its status, it is supposed to have all communication capabilities, including 5G, NFC and Wi-Fi 6. In contrast, the Lite version of Honor 50 is equipped with a more modest IPS display, a mid-range Snapdragon 662 processor, a simplified camera unit and lacks a 5G module. But the appearance is one-on-one like that of Huawei Mate 30 with its round camera manufactured by Leica.
