— dedicated video cards are separate graphics processing modules that have their own processor and specialized "graphics" RAM. The performance of such solutions is noticeably higher than that of the built-in ones; and due to the fact that the task of processing graphics is removed from the main processor and "RAM", the overall speed of the entire system also increases (some video cards can even "help" the computer with free resources). At the same time, in many cases, such graphics are combined with built-in graphics and work like hybrid — that is, dedicated module is turned on only when necessary, with an increase in graphics load. The main disadvantage of such video cards is the high price.Note that dedicated video adapters can be combined into SLI/Crossfire bundles to further increase performance. Such decisions are not included in this paragraph, they are made separately (and are described in detail in the relevant certificate).
