IR port (input)
— the presence in the design of the amplifier input for connecting an infrared signal receiver. The role of such a receiver is most often played by another component of the audio system — for example, a player. The function itself allows you to use the remote control even where it cannot directly “reach” the amplifier’s own sensor — for example, from another room, if you place an external IR receiver there.
